Our Story
The story of FabBRICK is that of Clarisse Merlet, founder and architect driven by a passion for innovation. By reinventing textile upcycling, she gave birth to FabBRICK—a unique material that transforms fabrics into artistic and elegant bricks. With her background in architecture, Clarisse has skillfully combined creativity, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for materials to design a product that is both aesthetic and innovative.
From this inspiring idea, FabBRICK has grown into a creative studio based in Paris’s 19th arrondissement. With a large production workshop and a close-knit team of about ten people, the studio continues to push the boundaries of innovation in art and design. Each project is an invitation to redefine space, where every brick tells a story and every creation becomes a work of art.
Our Team
Our Expertise
All of our creations are designed and manufactured in our Paris workshop. Our process, developed in-house and protected by patents in France and Europe, combines material research, technical innovation, and artisanal craftsmanship.
Textiles are transformed through a specific process: they are shredded and then assembled with an eco-friendly binder developed and patented internally. Every step of the manufacturing process is carried out in Paris, in our workshop, from material preparation to final finishing touches.
Designed from the very beginning as a fully coherent process, our method reduces resource consumption thanks to manufacturing that requires very little water and energy. Combining a research laboratory and a creative workshop, FabBRICK is developing a new approach to materials, where innovation, design, and local manufacturing come together.
